Evan J. Krame, Esq.
Evan J. Krame is an attorney practicing in the fields of estate planning, trust administration, guardianships, probate, and tax planning. A 1982 graduate of the National Law Center at George Washington University, Evan continued at George Washington to complete a Masters in Taxation in 1985. He frequently advises clients on asset protection, probate avoidance, disability planning and tax planning. Evan is a member of the Bar of the District of Columbia, Maryland, New York, and New Jersey.
Evan has a particular interest in planning for persons with disabilities. Much of his practice is dedicated to providing choices in the management and application of assets. Evan also serves as trustee for special needs trusts and guardian for elderly and incapacitated adults.
Evan was an adjunct professor at American University Law School in 1999 teaching Estate Planning. He served as an adjunct professor at Montgomery College for seven years. Evan served as co-chair of the Estates, Trusts and Probate Section of the District of Columbia Bar in 1999 and 2000. Under his leadership, the Section was granted the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Project of the Year (2000).
Evan is an active member of the Washington, D.C. Estate Planning Counsel and served on the Advisory Board for Legal Council for the Elderly. He has been an expert witness on probate matters. Evan taught estate planning at American University Law School. He has appeared on the national radio show “Parents’ Perspectives” and on the television program “Law School for the Public.” Articles written by Evan have appeared in EQUITY e-newsletter online, the Legal Times and the Gazette Newspapers. He has spoken often on the topic of “end of life decision making.” Evan has addressed a variety of national and local groups on topics of estate planning, planning for persons with disabilities, trust drafting and trust administration.
Evan has lectured on estates and trusts and related topics to such groups as the District of Columbia Trial Lawyers Association, the Estates Trusts and Probate Section of the D.C. Bar, at Suburban Hospital, to the staff of U.S. Trust Company in New York, the Organization of Bar Investigators and the public.
Evan serves on the Advisory Board of Capital Bank, NA. Evan’s current community leadership roles include serving as President of Shared Horizons, Inc., providing trust services to persons with disabilities. He is a board member of the National Disabilities Institute and an officer of the American Friends of the Anne Frank House.
Edward M. Biggin, Esq.
Edward M. Biggin is a partner at Law Offices of Evan J. Krame, PC, who practices in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, guardianship, elder law, and special needs trust planning and administration.
Ed is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association (Estates and Trusts, and Elder Law Sections); District of Columbia Bar Association (Estates, Trusts, and Probate Section); American Bar Association (Probate & Property Section ), and the Montgomery County Bar Association.
Ed was the Law Clerk to the Honorable Paul A. McGuckian, Sixth Judicial Circuit, Maryland, from August 2002 until December, 2003.
Ed received his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2002 - Heuisler Honor Society Member), where he was a staff editor of, and was published in, the University of Baltimore Law Forum. Ed completed his undergraduate degree at Frostburg State University (B.S., 1998).
Ed is involved in pro-bono and community service. Ed is a volunteer and speaker/educator of other volunteer attorneys for the Wills for Heroes Foundation through the Maryland Bar, which provides basic estate planning documents to first responders and their families. In addition, Ed is involved in the Maryland Foreclosure Prevention Pro Bono Project, and also volunteers his time at local food banks
Ed, a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, Maryland, resides in Clarksburg with his wife, Becky, and son, Austin.
Stephan P. Malloy, Esq.
Stephan P. Malloy is an associate attorney with Evan J. Krame, P.C., who practices primarily in the areas of estate administration, trust administration and taxation.
Steve is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association (Estates and Trusts Section), District of Columbia Bar Association (Estates, Trusts and Probate Section) and the Montgomery County Bar Association. He is a member of the Bars of Maryland and of the District of Columbia.
Steve practiced law with The Sheehan Law Group, Chartered, from 1998 until August 2010. Prior to that time, he practiced with the Law Offices of Rourke J. Sheehan.
Steve received his law degree from The Columbus School of Law, Catholic University of America, in Washington, D.C. (J.D., 1980), where he graduated in the top 10 percent of his class. Steve received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland at College Park (B.S., General Business and Management, 1976) after graduating from high school in Montgomery County.
Steve is married and resides with his wife, Sandra.
